Posting Reviews/Ratings:
The Review Score for Safefostering.co.uk is based on user Reviews. There are maximum 5 stars available Rating where (5 stars is Very Good and 1 is Poor).
- We only accept/publish Reviews that are submitted by individuals who have fostered for that particularly fostering organisation. Reviews cannot be submitted anonymously and must comply with our Content Standards (eg do not contain allegations of negligence, abuse or criminal activity).
- Before publication, we check that all reviews comply with our Review Policy, and we show all reviews submitted to care providers so that they may submit a response to be published with the review.
- The Reviews submitted to our site do not represent our views and we accept no responsibility or liability for any such Reviews.

REVIEW POLICY:
General
Our website safefostering.co.uk allows users and third parties to post comments and ratings of fostering organisations and their personal experience of such reviews. We want potential foster carers to use these reviews to help make an informed decision when choosing the best fostering organisation. Foster carers reviews is an integral part of safefostering.co.uk. The Reviews provide foster carers with an opportunity to provide feedback and fostering organisations to use this feedback to make improvements.
This site is not to be used for formal complaints or to make allegations of negligence, abuse, or criminal activity. Reviews cannot be submitted anonymously through safefostering.co.uk. We will require the reviewer to register on our site providing their name and telephone/email. We may share the review with the fostering organisation, so that we can that ensure the review is genuine. If you wish to make a complaint or have a serious allegation of negligence, abuse, or criminal activity, you should contact the fostering organisation, the relevant regulatory authority or the police.
The views, comments and opinions expressed in the Reviews submitted to our site do not represent our views and we accept no responsibility or liability for any such Reviews. All Reviews are left in accordance with our terms and conditions.
Safefostering.co.uk has a zero-tolerance policy towards any reviews violations. If we detect any attempts to manipulate fostering reviews, we will take immediate actions that include, but are not limited to:
- Attempts by an owner or agent of a fostering organisation to boost the reputation of an organisation by:
- Writing a review for their own organisation or for any organisation they own/manage or have a financial interest in. This includes using services that sell reviews, websites, or social media groups
- Offers a third party a financial rewarded discount or other compensation in exchange for writing a review about their or competitor’s organisation
- Impersonating a competitor or foster carer
- Offering incentives or inducements (including discounts, free prize draws or any special treatment) to foster carers in exchange for reviews or to influence the content of a review
- Submitting reviews on behalf of a foster carer
- Pressurising foster carers to submit a positive review, remove a negative review or to make changes to a review
- Asking foster carers to remove their reviews in return for a discount or incentive
- Prohibiting or discouraging foster carers from posting negative or critical reviews of their experience
- Attempts to damage competitors by submitting a negative review
- An owner or agent of a fostering organisation writing a review on a direct competitor, even if the review describes a genuine experience.
Whilst investigating a potential fraudulent review, we may suspend the review and then we will decide whether to remove it permanently or reinstate it. If we discover a fraudulent review, as well as removing that review, we may also remove all reviews for that fostering organisation and any companies in the same group.
To help maintain the integrity of our website, we reserve the right to carry out a full audit of all reviews on a profile page if we are alerted to the possibility of fraudulent reviews or if we are suspicious about reviews (e.g., several reviews submitted with the same handwriting or all reviews have an excellent rating for all categories). When performing an audit, we may ask all or some of the following questions
- Did you complete the review yourself?
- Did you submit the review online yourself?
- Did you choose all the ratings yourself?
Reviews:
Safefostering.co.uk encourages carers to review the fostering organisations they foster with to help potential foster carers make an informed decision.
Reviews must:
- Be genuine not opinions or hearsay.
- Be relevant (about the care/service provided).
- Be of first-hand personal experiences.
- Be based on an experience of the provision of fostering organisation services.
- Be a maximum of 1,500 characters (with spaces) in length, which is approximately 150 words.
- Be written in English and comply with acceptable standards of spelling and grammar.
- Be submitted in a reasonable time frame – the parents/individuals responsible for a child must have used the nursery within the last 12 months
- Be complete ie all Review fields must be completed
- Comply with the laws applicable in England and Wales and in any country from which it is posted
Reviews must not:
- Contain specific accusations of negligence, abuse, or criminal activity
- Be defamatory of any individual or organisation
- Be obscene, offensive, hateful, threatening, harassing or unlawful
- Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation, or age
- Contain abusive language
- Disclose the name, address, telephone, mobile or fax number, e-mail address or any other personal data in respect of any individual
- Contain references to other specific Reviews
- Stereotype sections of society
- Contain any reference to the Review Score of the organisation/business being reviewed
- Name any organisations/businesses other than the organisation/business that is being reviewed
- Infringe any copyright, database right or trademark of any other person
- Breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence
- Be in contempt of court or breach of a court order
- Be made in an attempt to blackmail any person
- Be made with a view to gain for the person submitting the content/comment or for another, or with the intent to cause loss to another, in exchange for offering to remove a ‘negative’ review or post a ‘positive’ review
- Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person
- Give the impression that the Review emanates from us if this is not the case
- Advocate, promote, incite any third party to commit, or assist any unlawful or criminal act
- Contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation, or instigation of acts of terrorism
- Contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites
If a fostering organisation disagrees with the reviewer over the experience, we recommend that the care provider writes a reply to the review so that website users can see both perspectives once registered.
User Forums:
Forums, bulletin boards, chat rooms or other interactive areas that may be offered on the Website (‘User Forums’) are provided to give users a forum to express their opinions and share their ideas and information. Safefostering.co.uk does not monitor, endorse and is not responsible for the content of these messages or the views or opinions expressed by the users of the User Forums. Safefostering.co.uk reserve the right, but is not obligated, to delete, move or edit content, in whole or in part, submitted by you to the Website for any reason in Safefostering.co.uk sole discretion.
