Bracknell Forest Council
The good news is, if you’re wondering whether you could foster with us, the chances are you can. And even better, we’ll support you every step of the way through the application process and beyond. We accept applications from households within a 20 mile radius of Bracknell. You don’t have to live within the borough, just a commutable distance. You can be in employment, unemployed or retired. Equally you can be of any ethnic background, of any sexual orientation and in a couple or single.
Moreover you don’t need to be a home owner, although if renting you’ll need to seek permission from your landlord. There is no problem with child friendly pets either! You will however need to be a caring and patient person with some experience with children. Being a parent is not a prerequisite but some experience whether through work or babysitting is ideal. You’ll also need to have a spare bedroom at home - unfortunately foster children cannot share with birth children. If you want to find out more, please visit our application
process page or contact us for more information.
